Our client, based in the UK, designs and sells high-end bicycle accessories targeted at cycling enthusiasts. The parts we produced were intended for resale and needed to meet both performance and aesthetic requirements.

🛠️ Materials & Process

• Material: Carbon Fiber

• Manufacturing Process: Carbon fiber cutting, surface finishing, and post-processing

• Surface Requirements: 2K and 3K weave patterns

• Finish Options: Matte or glossy, with essential oil application for better aesthetics

Carbon fiber offers excellent mechanical properties — 9 times stiffer than steel and only 25% of its density, making it ideal for lightweight, strong bike accessories.

⚠️ Challenges We Faced

This was our first time working with carbon fiber. The biggest challenges included:

• Preventing scratches on 2K/3K surface finishes

• Avoiding material chipping during cutting

• Ensuring consistency across batches despite the delicate nature of the material

✅ How We Ensured Quality

We used a real-time quality monitoring system to detect any abnormalities during production. Each step was carefully controlled, and multiple inspection points were set up to reduce defects and guarantee precision.

📦 Final Result & Client Feedback

The customer was very satisfied with the final samples, especially the attention to surface detail and packaging. As a result, they have continued to send us new carbon fiber projects, leading to an ongoing cooperation.
